Meet Ed Taylor author of The Power of the River
Ed Taylor's beautiful memoir tells a shy young boy, a Gonzaga Basketball player, and the now UW vice provost and dean of Undergraduate Academic Affairs. Pre-order now!
His story is of a young man growing up in poverty, but it's not a story of hardship it's a story of a deeply caring community that takes care of its young through interdependence. The Power of the River goes on to tell Taylor's story as a nontraditional student, a first generation college student with no guardrails to help him succeed, at Gonzaga University. And his continued academic journey to become a scholar of education.
The Power of the River will bring you joy, make you frustrated, and ultimately help you feel connected to one another, and dare I say even hopeful. We need Ed Taylor's voice right now, and we are thrilled to help him share his story!
Be charmed by Ed Taylor in person, at one of The Power of the River’s local events!
