Check out the latest we’re putting out!

Indy books are spread by word of mouth, help us spread the word of The Sylvan Hotel!
We are so excited about our forthcoming book! Our first novel is the ultimate Seattle book, set in the iconic 90s, traveling through local landmarks (both present and now long gone), and local artists who made Seattle a real focus of 90s rock! This heartfelt coming of age story focuses on those relationships you make when you’re young that stay with you for the rest of your life. I love this book, and I am so excited to get it out into the world!
But the thing is, I need your help to get this book into the hands of other readers! Can you read an advanced reader copy (if you make content about books please let us know…) and review it on Goodreads, Amazon, Barnes and Noble, etc? Can you recommend it to your book club? Or request it at your local library (The Sylvan Hotel, by Frannie James, 978-1609441661)?
If you’ve got just under $21 to spend, could you pre-order it (if your one of our monthly supporters you get a discount code, let me know if you need it)?
Together we can help get the word out about this book, and make a lot of reader’s lives a whole lot better!
The Youth Historians program has ended, check out their zine!
In partnership with the Seattle Public Library and the South Seattle College Library, Hinton has been running on a Youth Historian’s program. Focused on teaching young people the skills to learn LGBTQIA+ local history. We did storytelling workshops, visited the Central library’s zine library, explore specialized databases, had elder interviews, and much more!
For their final project they made a zine, called Our Queer Roots, meant to serve is a queer 90s Seattle time capsule. We’re going to add it to our Community eBooks section of our website. But are also sharing it with you here as a first look!
