The moon is rising, and the countdown is officially on! This Friday, April 17th, at 7:00 PM, join us at The Beacon Cinema for an exclusive pre-launch event and fundraiser for the Pacific Northwest’s newest feminist horror zine: Hallow’s Eve.
Presented in collaboration with Hinton Publishing, Lisa van Dam-Bates, and Isabella Von Ghoul, Hallow’s Eve is a biannual arts publication inspired by the legacy of the 1986 Japanese magazine Halloween. We are reclaiming the macabre and exploring "the dark feminine"—centering the voices of women, girls, gays, and theys who have long been sidelined in mainstream horror.
What’s rising from the grave this Friday?
The Screening: A special showing of Robert Eggers’ contemporary masterpiece, The VVitch—a landmark of feminine horror and ritual.
The Discussion: A moderated panel facilitated by Isabella Von Ghoul, featuring local femme horror creators and superfans. We’ll be diving deep into themes of grief, autonomy, and the gendered politics of fear.
The Mission: Help us fund the debut of Hallow’s Eve and celebrate our upcoming Volume One: Full-spectrum Despair: Sunlit Horror in Vibrant Color.
TICKETS ARE EXTREMELY LIMITED! This is a community-centered event in an intimate space. Because we want to ensure a great experience for our coven, tickets are capped and moving fast. Once they’re gone, they’re gone!
Don’t miss your chance to support local indie publishing and connect with your fellow horror obsessed creators.
Come get hyped, get inspired, and get spooky with us. We’ll see you at The Beacon!
