At the 2025 AWP conference Hinton Publishing asked questions of our fellow attendees: Why is murder cozy? Who is the modern day Jane Austen? Why can’t Love Triangles be throuples?

We did this as a way to get attention at a very exciting conference, to bring people over to our table. But also, we did this so we could have fun conversations with literary nerds!

It was exciting and eye opening how many brilliant conversations three silly little questions could inspire.

It is with great pleasure that we share the response notes our questions prompted.
